People of all ages can benefit from chiropractic treatment, which consists of a wide range of manipulation techniques designed to improve the function of the joints so relieving pain or spasms. These are designed to work on individual joints without disturbing another.
The Chiropractor may also offer advice on changes to lifestyle, exercise, stretching movements, work and managing your condition to help prevent a recurrence.
We offer two forms of Chiropractic; Classical and McTimoney. McTimoney is a less forceful method to classical. Therefore it is gentler and suitable for all ages including infants and pregnant women.
What Happens During A Consultation?
The first session lasts about an hour. The Chiropractor will take a detailed history and give you a thorough examination. Subsequent visits for treatment may be between 15 - 45 minutes in length. The number of visits depends on the severity of your problem and your response to treatment.
We have a very strong commitment to patient aftercare. With this in mind, after your course of treatment, you will be given an appointment for six weeks time for a check-up and 'tweeking' if required. The receptionist will then make an appointment for six months time for another precautionary check to sort out problems before they get chance to become serious again. (Rather like the six month check given by dentists).
