Muscle and Joint Mobility Remedial Massage
This is a special form of massage which has its origins in Chinese massage techniques with added advanced Western methods. The synergy of these two forms gives a powerful tool to aid with stiff joins and muscles.
The movements are gentle and include stretches, and shaking of limbs, but become more forceful over the sessions as mobility returns.
What happens during a consultation?
A detailed personal history is taken and a physical examination to assess your particular needs is conducted. This includes postural, joint and muscle mobility. The examination may require the removal of some outer garments.
It is difficult to say how many sessions of massage you may require, most people have 4-6 sessions.
We have a very strong commitment to aftercare for our massage patients. With this in mind, after your course of treatment, you will be given an appointment for six weeks time for a check-up and 'tweeking' if required. The receptionist will then make an appointment for three or six months time for another precautionary check to sort out problems before they get chance to become serious again. (Rather like the six month check given by dentists). |
