The First Step
You simply telephone Cressinghams to book a discussion about your problem. Either Richard Wain or another psychologistist will call you back as soon as possible for a more detailed talk. This initial session is completely FREE and you are under no obligation to continue if you feel telephone psychological therapy is not for you is not for you.
Booking your First Session/s
If, after your initial consultation with the therapist, it is agreed that telephone psychological therapy is your way forward, the therapist will take your details and make an appointment for your telephone consultation. They will then ask you to pay on-line using this site. If you are unable to do so telephone payments may be made when the centre is open.

Number of Sessions Required
There is no fixed number of sessions. However, we usually say to people they will need at least five, after which point we would arrange a review.
How Frequent are the Sessions
Most client like weekly sessions but it is between you and your therapist. These can be arranged more frequently for short crisis situations. The sessions may be more spaced out as you near the end of your therapy.
Session Length
Normally 50-60 minutes. There are shorter and longer sessions available.
Session Fees
The basic cost is £40 for a session for 1-4 sessions. If booking 5 sessions in advance then the fee is £175.
All fees are payable in advance.
(If a half hour session is required the therapist will charge no less than £25 for that session and may charge for the full session if they feel it proper to do so).
Missed Sessions
We require 24 hours notice of any sessions that you are unable to keep. If this is done the session will be re-arranged at a convenient time and there will be no charge.
Should you not give us a minimum of 24 hours notice, you will have to pay £25 for an uncancelled session. This will be deducted from the prepayment. The balance will be credited to the next session or refunded after your final session.
