Aromatherapy Massage Course (1 Day)
This Basic Aromatherapy Massage Course uses only pre-blended oils. It will teach you how to perform a relaxing aromatherapy massage. Aromatherapy is proven to benefit the receiver physically and mentally. It a high demand massage treatment. You will learn the basic massage procedure and the properties of pre-selected essential oils.
Aromatherapy pre-blended oil sets
I do not include any aromatherapy kits within the price of the training course. You will be directed to a specific supplier to purchase a set that is used during the course.
Aromatherapy has been around for thousands of years
Humans have used aromatherapy in one form or another for thousands of years. China, India, Egypt, and many other ancient civilisations have used aromatic plant components in resins, balms, and oils. These were used for medical and religious purposes.
In more recent times essential oils distillation is attributed to the Persians in the 10th century. But it must have been used for a long time before this. I
French physicians in the 19th century recognised the potential of essential oils in treating disease. But medical doctors became established in the 19th century and began using chemical drugs.

The benefits of Aromatherapy
Essential oils are absorbed through the skin during massage. You will learn the gentle and calming aromatherapy massage techniques. These assist the penetration of the essential oils into the body. This in turn relaxes tight muscles and the mind aided by the aroma of the essential oils.
Aromatherapy has an array of benefits. It’s said to:

Aromatherapy Massage Course entry requirements
This course is suitable for anyone. It can be taken by qualified massage therapist who wish to add Aromatherapy to their skill set.
The training days
You will give and receive body Aromatherapy Massage treatments as part of this course. Group students and pairs work upon each other so no models are required. Students will be used as models for demonstrations of massage strokes and draping. This is undertaken by me - Dr. Richard Wain.
If the training is on a 1-2-1 basis you will be worked on by me and vice versa. You may bring your own model - this must be arranged in advance.
Massage couches, couch covers and paper rolls are inclusive. But on the training day, you must bring your own hand and bath/beach towel for your personal use.
You must purchase the recommended pre-blended oil set and bring it with you to the course.
Tea, coffee, water and biscuits are provided on the day. You may bring your own lunch or buy it locally. There are very good catering facilities on site during week days.
What qualification will you receive?
You must successfully completed your training course to the required standard. You will then receive a printed and signed certificate or if you are qualified a CPD Diploma.
The diploma allows you to get Public Liability insurance. Then you can start offering treatments to paying clients.

The first thing to do is contact me by email or text giving your phone number. As I am often with clients or teaching I am not always available to take a call. So emails or texts are best in the first instance for me to call you back to discuss the training with you or you can come to the Dartford office to speak to me in person.
The training days will be booked at this time.
